Associated Faculty in Chemistry, MAE, and PRISM
NSTX Collaborator, Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL)
Bruce Koel, Princeton University, professor of the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, and associated faculty in Chemistry, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE), and the Princeton Institute for the Science and Technology of Materials (PRISM), is an expert in surface science, materials science, and catalysis, with research involving a wide range of nanomaterials synthesis and characterization and nanostructured surfaces. Prof. Koel is responsible for comprehensive evaluation and characterization of nanomaterials synthesized in PBNL experiments, with specific responsibility for the experiments involving the surface growth of carbon nanostructures and heterogeneous catalysts.
